What would an OFC do for America’s international competitiveness?
It is hard to say for certain, but its impact is likely to be positive.
Americans pay more for insurance than residents of other wealthy countries, and it’s possible that an OFC would reduce overall insurance prices by letting companies operate more efficiently while increasing competition. In addition, by creating a single point of contact within the U.S. government, an OFC would make it easier to negotiate trade deals involving insurance.
